About Me
Gabriela Magalhaes Roberts – I am a Brazilian Architect, who has lived and worked in the UK for the past 23 years. I am a creative and passionate designer, perfectionist some would say, but also practical and knowledgeable of the UK's construction system and standards. I love people and all the infinite aspects and intricate nuances of who we are as individuals and as a society. I always strive to achieve the best solution for my clients and my biggest reward is to see their satisfaction at the end of the process. I have a wide range of experience in the various construction sectors, and my expertise is in the Residential and Mixed Use sector. I have a particular interest in sustainable architecture and retro-fit. I am continuously expanding my knowledge on the new practices and available technologies in order to pass on to my clients. I have a Post Graduate Diploma on Sustainability and Adaptation with CAT-Centre for Alternative Technology, one of the most respected centres in the field in Europe, and I am currently looking into applying for The Passive House Designer Course.

Gabriela Roberts Architecture aims to provide a personal, bespoke and professional service.
We believe in the importance of the architectural environment on people's lives and it's impact and importance on the 'grand scheme of things'.
We believe that a successful design is based on the 'understanding' of the clients practical needs and subjective aspirations and the careful analysis/consideration of each individual site's constraints and opportunities.
Services
As part of our services, we will: visit the site and meet the clients for an initial introductory meeting, discuss the client's needs and aspirations; use our expertise and experience to assist with the preparation of a clear and comprehensive, yet fluid brief; survey the property/site or recommend a specialist surveyor; prepare initial design concepts or options; work alongside the clients to develop the designs until a desirable and efficient solution is achieved. Detailed drawings are then produced for application with the Local Authority and for Building Regulations Application and Construction. We will advise on the need and involvement of any other professional in the process and will liaise with them for a more comprehensive and efficient approach. We also advise on the final tender documents. We undertake site visits and complete a final inspection. If you are looking to purchase a property or site, we provide a bespoke consultancy service offering advice on development feasibility. This service involves a site visit and will assit you in visualising potential, including identifying planning and utilities constraints and possibilities, to guide your investment decision.
